For the second season of the animated Laverne & Shirley program, the show was paired with an animated version of yet another Happy Days spin-off, Mork & Mindy, airing as the Mork & Mindy/Laverne & Shirley/Fonz Hour. Robin Williams and Pam Dawber provided the voices of alien Mork and earthling Mindy, but in the animated world, they are teenagers and Mork’s mission is to report back to overlord Orson about the behavior of earthling teens. Like in the other Garry Marshall-inspired cartoons, was there an anthropomorphic animal on Mork & Mindy? You betcha. Mork’s pet is a pink, six-legged Orkan dog-like creature with antennae named Doing (pronounced like “boing”).
